1. Main Uses
Double-effect and multi-effect concentration (evaporation) equipment operates continuously under vacuum and low temperature conditions, and is particularly suitable for the concentration of heat-sensitive foods, Chinese medicine, Western medicine and heat-sensitive materials. The equipment is easy to operate, has stable performance, high production efficiency, convenient cleaning, reasonable structure, small footprint, low operating costs, and fully complies with GMP specifications. It is widely used in food, medicine, grain deep processing, beverages, light industry, environmental protection, chemical industry and other industries.
2. Equipment Features
Energy saving and consumption reduction: Through the secondary utilization of secondary steam, the steam consumption and cooling water circulation volume are greatly saved.
Low-temperature concentration: It is carried out under vacuum conditions to reduce the evaporation temperature of the material and avoid scaling of the material, which is particularly suitable for heat-sensitive substances.

3. Main structure
The equipment consists of a first-effect heating chamber, a first-effect separator, a second-effect heating chamber, a second-effect separator, a condenser, a condensation tank, and a vacuum system, all made of high-quality stainless steel.
Heating chamber: tubular double-layer insulation design, connected to the evaporation chamber through upper and lower nozzle elbows.
Separator: double-layer structure, with a sight glass on the front and a manhole on the top for easy observation and cleaning.
Condenser: condense the secondary steam into water for recycling.
Vacuum system: ensure that the equipment operates under vacuum, and the vacuum is provided by a water ring vacuum pump.
4. Working principle
The primary steam enters the first-effect heating chamber to heat the liquid, forming a cycle evaporation. The secondary steam generated by the first effect enters the second-effect heating chamber to heat the second-effect liquid, and the secondary steam generated at the same time enters the condenser to condense into water. In this cycle, the water in the liquid evaporates continuously and the concentration continues to increase.
5. Operating procedures
Preparation: Confirm that the cooling water, the cooling water of the vacuum pump buffer tank, and the water valve before the vacuum pump are open normally.
Start-up: Close the external pipeline valve, turn on the vacuum pump, feed to 1/4 of the sight glass manhole, adjust the steam valve to control the temperature, and start evaporation.
Observation and adjustment: Observe the liquid level of the receiving tank, turn on the condensate pump, and confirm the material concentration through the sampling valve.
Shutdown: After the concentration reaches the requirement, turn off the vacuum pump and pump the material to the next process through the discharge pump.
6. Precautions
Check whether the water, electricity, and steam supply are normal.
Check whether the equipment is in standby mode and whether there are problems such as loose screws.
Combined with temperature and steam inlet pressure, flexibly control the operation.
The opening pressure of the safety valve shall not exceed the specified working pressure.
7. Equipment cleaning
When producing the same variety, regularly clean the drug scale on the inner wall of the heating chamber.
When changing varieties, boil and brush the inside of the equipment with 10% caustic soda solution.
8. Maintenance and care
Regularly check the operation of pumps, valves, pipelines and other components to ensure no leakage.
Regularly clean and descale heaters, condensers and other components to maintain their good thermal conductivity.
Regularly check the working status of safety equipment such as vacuum pumps and safety valves to ensure their safety and reliability.
When not in use for a long time, the inside of the equipment should be cleaned and dried to prevent corrosion and scaling.
